Lyme Park Midsummer Trail
At Lyme Park on Wednesday for the 10k trail run Yvonne Booth was the first Ram home ahead of Sandra Powers, Lianne Troughton, Andrea Sidebottom, Eve Hart, Connor Barrett, Gina Jackson, Jane Emanuel and Clare Waterfall-Hallam.
They had to contend with heat, hills and hold ups but all seemed to enjoy the event immensely and the organisers have promised to iron out the issues that caused long queues at stiles before next year’s race.
Regular fell runners Richard Jones, Peter Taylor and Kieran Myles discovered the joys of the Aggie’s Staircase race in Darwen. Yet another tough little moorland trail up and around Darwen Moor.
This one was put on by Darwen Dashers who do a few similar races. Next up being the Tockholes Fell Race on 7th July at 7:15pm.
Kayleigh Hadfield was the sole Ram at the Stocksport Running Festival 5k over mixed terrain from Stockport town centre through Vernon and Woodbank Park.
